What do I need to bring to my first office visit?

We look forward to your upcoming appointment with The Pediatric Village. If you are a new patient and would like to expedite your initial visit, please print our registration form and fill it out prior to your appointment. Also, be sure to bring the following:

  • Photo identification
  • Insurance card(s)
  • Co-pay when applicable (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash and checks all accepted)
  • List of current medications (name, dosage and frequency) including prescription, over-the-counter, and/or herbal remedies
  • Medical records from your referring physician. Most importantly--shot records

We are accepting new patients.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment so that the information above can be transferred into your electronic medical record.




Do I need to do anything special for follow-up visits?

Patients coming for a follow-up visit will be asked to inform us about any changes in the information or medical history obtained at their original visit. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment so that this information can be updated in your medical record.



Does The Pediatric Village provide prenatal consults?

Yes we do. Our consults are $60.00



What about after hours and weekend coverage for emergencies?

Any calls received after regular business hours are automatically transferred to our answering service. The service will take your information and page whichever one of our doctors is on call. If you do not receive a return call in a timely fashion, please call back again. Please reserve evening calls for problems that cannot wait until the following day. We frequently use Nighttime Pediatrics for urgent problems that need immediate attention.

How do I refill prescriptions?

We request that you call us for routine prescription refills during regular business hours. Prescription refills will not be filled after hours or on weekends. Please allow 48 hours for refills.



What insurance plans does the office accept?

The Pediatric Village participates with the insurance plans listed below. If you do not see your insurance plan included on the list, please feel free to contact us.

We require payment at the time of your appointment for services that are not covered by your insurance. Your insurance may require you to pay a co-payment at the time of your appointment; you are responsible for payment of the co-pay before any services are rendered. We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, andamerican Express.

What are the office hours?

New Hours: Beginning April 4, 2012 our Wednesday hours will be 8:30am - 6pm.

Fall Flu Vaccinnes sign has begun, by appt only Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Please call the office to sign up.

Our regular office hours are Monday through Friday are as follows:

  • Mon:  8:30am to 5:00pm
  • Tues: 8:30am to 7:00pm
  • Wed:  8:30am to 6:00pm
  • Thur:  8:30am to 6:00pm
  • Fri:     8:30am to 5:00pm
If the doctor is delayed due to an emergency, we will make every effort to notify you prior to your appointment.



IMPORTANT FEE INFORMATION - Effective August 15, 2009

Due to increased administrative requirements and supply costs, The Pediatric Village, PC will charge the following fees:

  • A $50.00 "no show" fee will be charged for office visits or physical examination appointments not cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours.  We confirm appointments as a courtesy, it is up to you to remember your appointment date and time
  • Our fee for medical records is $35.00.  Your medical records will be mailed after 6 wks
  • $35.00 returned check fee
  • $25.00 for completion of school forms or immunization records for each child.  Forms needed before 2 weeks will be assessed a fee of $50.00
  • $35.00 blood draw/specimen preparation fee
  • $35.00 injection fee
  • There will be a $50.00 fee (payable by the parent) for all walk in patients


Missed Appointments

A $50.00 cancellation fee will be imposed if your appointment is not cancelled within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time.

We appreciate input and feedback from our patients and visitors. Please call the Office Manager at 202-244-1553 with any of your question, concerns, or comments.



Traditional Influenza Update

We are presently out of seasonal flu vaccine. We are putting forth every effort to try and find more but there is a shortage of flu vaccine in our area. If at anytime we are able to get more vaccine, we will give priority to children with chronic illnesses.
